GALÁPAGOS ISLANDS — Ecuador
Where evolution meets the ocean.
Located at the crossroads of three major Pacific currents, the Galápagos Islands offer some of the most extraordinary diving on the planet. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is home to marine life found nowhere else on Earth — playful sea lions, marine iguanas that dive alongside you, and massive schools of scalloped hammerhead sharks at the legendary sites of Wolf and Darwin islands.
Expect whale sharks, manta rays, Galápagos sharks, sea turtles, dolphins, and penguins swimming in the tropics. Every dive here is genuinely unlike anything you've experienced before.
Accessible only by liveaboard, with strong currents and cold upwellings — this is big animal diving at its absolute finest.
Best season: Year-round. June–November for hammerheads and whale sharks. December–May for calmer, warmer waters.
Level: Advanced. Minimum 50 logged dives. Strong current experience required.
The Galápagos doesn't just show you marine life. It shows you what the ocean was meant to be.
