Standing on stage at the Ocean Film Tour in Cologne was one of those moments I’ll never forget. As the founder of Carlu Dive Travel, I had the honor of representing the German Ocean Foundation and speaking about something that truly defines my life: the ocean and how we can protect it.

What is the Ocean Film Tour?

The International Ocean Film Tour is one of Europe’s most inspiring film events dedicated to the ocean. It brings together a curated selection of powerful documentaries that explore marine life, adventure, conservation, and human connection to the sea.

Each stop on the tour combines:

• Cinematic storytelling

• Live talks and speakers

• A community of ocean lovers

It’s not just about watching films, it’s about feeling, understanding, and being inspired to act.

Taking the Stage

The evening was moderated by Florian Weber, who guided the audience through the program with great energy and curiosity.

For me, stepping onto that stage was both exciting and deeply meaningful. Speaking in front of so many people about something I genuinely love and care about – the ocean – was an incredible experience. There’s something special about sharing your passion in a room full of people who are open, curious, and ready to listen.

Why Ocean Conservation Matters

During my talk, I focused on a simple but important message:

You don’t have to be a scientist to help protect the ocean.

As watersports enthusiasts, travelers, and storytellers, we all have the ability to make a difference:
